About

RamadanCountdown.net is a calm, simple countdown to the blessed month of Ramadan, with clear, carefully sourced information about its dates.

Our principles

  • Expected, not confirmed. Ramadan begins with the sighting of the crescent moon. We publish expected dates in advance and label them clearly. We never present a projection as an official announcement.
  • Verified sources. Every hadith on the site links to the full narration on Sunnah.com, with its collection and number. Short extracts are marked as quotations; everything else is our own summary.
  • Respect for differing practice. Communities follow different methods to start and end Ramadan. We explain the differences rather than treat one practice as universal.
  • No guaranteed date for Laylat al-Qadr. We list the nights in which it is sought, never a single certain date.
  • Lightweight and private. No adverts, no tracking, no cookies and no pop-ups.
